 Hi everyone! Today I'm going to talk about a social issues, and that is "Poverty"

If you look on your computer, on an internet page "poverty in the world" you will find a figure so high that it will probably make you think about how lucky you are to be at home and have something to eat, or at least that happened to me. In the world about 783 million people live below the poverty line, on $1,90 a day, that is, they live with less than 1.500 Chilean pesos a day and less than $57 a month (approximately less 40.000 Chilean pesos a month). 

The pandemic that we are experiencing hasn't helped to improve this, on the contrary, it has caused poverty to have worsened and increased. Many people have lost their jobs by quarantines because business that were not essecial couldn't be opened and companies ended up laying off their employees or many companies went bankrupt because they couldn't operate. 

The poverty isn't only found in small countries, we also find it in large countries such as the United States, Canada, Germany, France and others; but the high poverty rates are often found in small, vulnerable and conflict-affected countries. The places with great poverty are in South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

Latin America poverty isn't left behind either, an annual report "Panorama Social de América Latina 2018" reported that 184 million people in Latin America live in poverty and 62 million in extreme poverty. This means that 30.2% of Latin Americans are poor, and 10.2% are extremely poor. 

I believe that as long as poverty isn't solved, most social issues will not be solved either, because from poverty comes hunger, precarity and other.
